Magic infects the Wenderweald like a disease, and the witch oozes up from the afflicted bogs. Crazed knights have come to purge the witch only to find the Wenderweald itself is a watchful sentient wilderness. They are surrounded by Wenderfolk now — some devoted to the Neven Creed and others born and beholden to the witch that burns.

This, THIS, is how you do a zine. Part comic, part game setting, part artwork, part poetry, this is the coolest damn zine thing I've seen in a long time. I mean, seriously--I got all goosefleshy just flipping through the black and white pages. This captures the tone and atmosphere of a campaign steeped in folklore, myth, and magic without obvious and overt attempts at being edgy or splattergore or grimdark in all the ways that so many OSR games try to be. I had so many flashbacks to 1970s and 1980s gaming product vibes with subtle nods to Chick tract, Howard Pyle, and Russ Nicholson styled artwork. And to think this had its start in a solo Cairn campaign! Well done, Odinson Games. Very well done.
